This is a delightful French cloisonne crystal regulator from about 1890 in immaculate restored condition. The case has been polished and lacquered so it looks great right now and will not tarnish. All the glass panels are nicely bevelled and are undamaged. The cloisonne bands top and bottom are vibrant and clear and go right around the clock. There is matching cloisonne on the dial surround and on the pendulum. There is no mercury in the pendulum glass vials so it is safe. The beaded edging and the very pretty garlanded enamel dial with blued spade hands and a filigree gilt centrepiece add to the charm of this lovely clock.
The clock stands 28cm high, is 18cm wide and 14cm deep. This is an 8 day clock which strikes the hour and the half hour on a gong. It has been fully overhauled with new springs and bushes. Comes with correct double ended key.
The true beauty of this clock is that it will look fabulous in either an older home or in a prime position in a modern setting. Quality like this always looks great.
