This very attractive French carriage clock stands just 16cm high with the handle up and is 9cm wide. The gilded case is in fine condition with reeded columns on all four corners and all glasses are undamaged and nicely bevelled. The swing handle is mounted so that it cannot swing forward and accidentally press the repeat button. It will only fold down to the back.  Good snug fitting door at the rear. The perfect enamelled dial features the original moon hands and Roman numerals.

This clock strikes the hours and the half on a gong and repeats the strike for the previous hour when the repeat button on top is pressed. The clock movement has been fully overhauled, runs for a week on a winding and retains its original silvered platform escapement. The correct double ended key is provided for winding and setting the time.
